Kentucky Republican Senator Mitch McConnell, 84, has been in the hospital since June 14. When he meets his inevitable fate, I have no doubt the decreasingly relevant broadcast news landscape will sanitize his obituary and breeze over his racism. Allow me to preemptively remind you, that this is the Mitch who paved the way for Donald Trump and the MAGA minions. McConnell’s moves as a legislator, and a morally bankrupt human being, cemented Trump’s transition from reality TV spectacle to President of the United States. As we continue to suffer the fallout from this tragically dangerous administration, here’s a reminder that he never saw Black folks as American. When The Grim Reaper meets the Grim Reaper, I can only hope he is confronted by the human consequence of his personal and political actions.
